Posthumous Legend Award

 The Legend Award has been given to such deceased greats & members of the World Head of Family Sokeship Council as Grandmasters Richard Kim & Peter Urban of Goju Ryu Karate, Grandmasters Don Nagle & Harold Long of Isshinryu & to living grandmasters such as Professor Wally of Small Circle Ju-Jitsu & others who have achieved great heights in the world of martial arts. Tonight we would like to honor a deceased grandmaster who was considered by many to be one of the great technicians of Jiu-Jitsu & one of our first American black heroes, the creator of Sanuces Ryu, the late great Moses Powell.

Tonight we are honored to not only induct Moses Powell into our International Hall of Fame with a posthumous legend award, but also to have him inducted with the Blessing of his Wife, Mrs. Gina Barnett Powell into the World Head of Family Sokeship Council as a posthumous member of our Council.It is our pleasure to present to you tonight, his Widow & our honored guest, Mrs. Gina Barnett Powell.

 

Living Legend Award 
(must be world renowned w/ media attention)

* From England - He is being awarded induction into this category for the worldwide attention he has been given for his kicking abilities. Considered by many to be the greatest kicker of current times Grandmaster Gary Wasniewski who is our representative in England could not be here because of his own function that he is having, but sends his love to all who are attending tonight. His award will be mailed to him after the banquet

Historical Figure Award

* This particular gentleman is truly one of the great pioneers of American Jiu-Jitsu & Judo & one of the first practitioners of Isshinryu in this country. He is also a member of the World Head of Family Sokeship Council We are proud to have him here tonight from North Carolina, Professor Ernie Cates

* From Switzerland - a high ranking black belt in many different styles, known throughout Europe for his martial arts abilities & a member of the World Head of Family Sokeship, Grandmaster Jurg Ziegler could not be here tonight due to seminar obligations & I will be accepting on his behalf.
